Webinar Series – These are designed to provide specific information that will help each President-Elect (PE) lead an effective and vibrant Rotary club. Each year, PEs come into office with a wide range of Rotary knowledge and skills. As such, PEs are encouraged to learn the skills and knowledge they don’t have and to bypass topics/materials of which they are already proficient. The webinar series is intended to provide helpful information, not busy-work.
October 27th at 6:00pm “Understanding Your Club & Resources”
In this webinar, we’ll help you identify the materials you’ll need to really understand the inner-working of your club, past goals, and club documents. This is vital knowledge for you as you chart the path for your club during your year. We’ll also show you where you can find the information you need about Rotary and its programs.
November 24th at 6:00pm “The Rotary Foundation”
In this webinar we’ll explore the Rotary Foundation, “TRF.” What is it? What is its relationship to Rotary and to our clubs? We’ll give you a brief overview of the matching grants programs, talk about Grant Management Qualification requirements, and describe the role of the Club President concerning the Foundation and Giving.
December 15th at 6:00pm “Membership”
We’ll discuss the importance of putting together a cracker-jack membership team for your year and why membership is Rotary’s biggest challenge. You’ll learn new ways to approach growing membership and how to build a membership plan that will create vibrant membership for your club during your year.
January 26th at 6:00pm “Club Leadership, DacDb, and Rotary Club Central”
This webinar will focus on the elements of leadership. What’s makes a great club leader? Are you planning on being an agent of change in your club, or just a placeholder? We’ll delve deeper into the electronic tools available to you as you lead your club: the powerful Rotary database, “DACdb” and “Rotary Club Central” on the R.I. website … where you’ll enter the goals for your year so they can go into the International Rotary database, and so that your club can track progress from year to year.
February 17th at 6:00pm “What to Expect at PETS”
The President-Elect Training Seminar (PETS), held in Seattle, has been likened to a fire-hose of knowledge coming at you. In this webinar, we explain travel, accommodations, dress codes, class-styles, fellowship time, meals, and generally everything you need to know to reduce your stress as you prepare to travel. Our goal has been to prepare you to drink comfortably from the fire-hose, and this is the final step. Get ready for PETS!
March 5 – 8, 2015: Pre-PETS and PETS, Seattle, Washington.
March 2015: Enter your goals and information into Rotary Club Central before leaving for the District Training Assembly. Any entered data can be changed at a later date.
April 11, 2015: District Training Assembly – Location TBD
Every club should have entered a TRF goal and Membership goal in Rotary Club Central!
Attend the District Conference at Valley River Inn, Eugene. Spend time planning with your team. Schedule a club assembly and share your goals and budget with your club. Meet with your program chair to make sure your programs are scheduled for the next two months. Make sure your club is qualified for grants.
Attend Rotary International Convention in São Paulo, Brazil.
