Manufacture and install fuel-efficient stoves produced in Guatemala and do community training in the installation and use of the stoves. Respiratory infection caused by open fire cooking in homes is the leading cause of death of children under agive five. Accidents from open fires are a serious problem. Fuel-efficient stoves will reduce the fuel consumed by 70% and reduce deforestation. In addition, Shell Oil Companhy will match our grant.
