CAMP RYLA is a 6-day leadership camp for high school sophomores who have a strong desire to make their school or community a better place.
Up to 130 students, both boys and girls, participate.
The camp teaches leadership skills while instilling the Rotary ideal of high ethical standards with the Four Way Test. Camp RYLA inspires young people to create and carry out projects in their communities that exemplify the Rotary value of Service Above Self.
Camp RYLA also introduces students to other exciting opportunities through Rotary such as the youth programs, Interact and Youth Exchange.

CAMP RYLA seeks students with leadership potential, not necessarily proven leadership skills. Ideal candidates have the creativity and capacity to think outside the box; they have compassion for others; and they have the courage to step out of their “comfort zone” in facing challenges.
The week is designed to be fun for all participants, but students should come to camp expecting to work hard.
ONLY CURRENT HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORES - Sorry, no exceptions.
The cost of the camp is paid entirely by sponsoring Rotary clubs, who recruit and select the campers. Interested students should contact their local Rotary club, high school counselor, or leadership teacher for information about applications, interviews, and deadlines.
