Gift of Literacy

Rotary Club of Springfield Twin Rivers

On May 22, 2008 Springfield Twin Rivers Rotary held the third annual GIFT OF LITERACY in partnership with the Springfield School District. The project brings together 975 first graders,corporate sponsors, and 135 volunteers at Lane Community College campus. Each student is presented with a hardbound book of their choice with their name imprinted on a Rotary bookplate on the inside cover. Accompanying the personalized book is a cloth book bag filled with study materials donated by corporate sponsors.
