Port Orford 12th Annual Show and Shine

September 5, 2010 The Rotary Club of Port Orford holds it 12th Annual Show and Shine Labor Day Sunday 10:00am to 3:000pm at the Driftwood School in Port Orford. Registration is $15, or $10 if received by August 25. Come enjoy a Rotary Chef Burger and see the cars! More information is available at club website or by calling Sonja Mason at 541-332-8630.

23rd Annual Siskiyou Century

September 11, 2010 The Yreka Rotary Club is sponsoring the 23rd Annual Siskyou Century Bicycle event, Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Siskyou County Fairgrounds. Staggered starts for all riders: 100 milers at 7:30, 64 milers at 8:30, and 37 milers at 9:30. ENTRY FEE: $30 Registration for the 37 mile Metric 1/2 Century, $35 Registration for the 64 mile Metric Century, and $40 for the 100 mile Century Ride. END OF RIDE FEAST: A delicious lunch will be served from 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM for all registered riders. Meal tickets may be purchased by family and friends for $10.00 each. Tickets purchased prior to September 4th will be included in packets. T-SHIRTS: To Reserve a short-sleeved cotton T-shirt for $15, you must register no later than September 3rd, 2010. PRE-REGISTRANTS & PACKET PICK-UP: Please feel free to take advantage of Early Packet Pick-up, Late Registration and Check-in. Packets may be picked up Friday, Sept. 10th at the fairgrounds from 5 PM to 7 PM and the starting area Sept. 11th. If you register after the September 3rd deadline, a $7 late fee will be required.

Twin Rivers Cow Pasture Golf Association Tournament

September 11, 2010 International Cow Pasture Golf Association (ICPGA) Tournament to benefit the Twin Rivers Rotary African Clean Water Project and Willamalane Teen Programs, from 9am to 1pm, Bob Artz Field in Springfield. Adult and teen matched golf teams playing a full round of cow pasture golf, barbeque lunch and hospitality provided by Rotarians, celebrity appearances are possible. Needed: Fun Golfers ($50 entry for Adult/Teen Team, $55 day of); Hole Sponsors: $50 plus bucket decoration plus small prize for holing golfer plus name recognition; Event/Meal Sponsor: $250 plus banner; Rotarians to go to other meetings to seek golfers and sponsors; Rotarians to work on event team to plan, purchase and prepare hospitality and help the tourney director. Many of the prizes have been developed by teens. Organizing Sponsors: Springfield Twin Rivers Rotary and Willamalane Parks and Recreation District. Contact: Bob Keefer.

Fern Ridge 1st Annual Rotary Patriot Poker Ride

September 11, 2010 The Fern Ridge Rotary Club is hosting the 1st Annual Rotary Patriot Poker Ride Saturday, September 11, 2010. Registration and the first card draw will be on Saturday from 10am - 11:30am. The route will go thru Noti (the Noti Pub) to Mapleton (Frank's Place) to Florence (The Beachcomber) ending at the Three Rivers Casino and Hotel in Florence. All riders must check in before 2pm. Awards and prizes will be distributed @ 2pm in the casino parking lot (we will have a tent and instructions for parking). The first 200 paid hands will receive a commemorative pin. Please let ALL your motorcycle enthusiast know...the proceeds will go to the local community to support various events and to establish a scholarship fund. Contact Deanna @ 541-935-5035.

Illinois Valley "18 on the 18th" Golf Tournament

September 18, 2010 The Rotary Club of the Illinois Valley scheduled a Golf “Scramble” Tournament on September 18, 2010 at the Illinois Valley Golf Course in Cave Junction. This is a fund raising event with the proceeds to benefit local youth programs and to continue the Hometown Hero Banner Project where the Club honors the local men and women serving in the military. The Scramble will start at 9:00 a.m. with sign-in starting at 8:00 a.m. The cost is $50.00 per person and includes the 18 hole tournament, BBQ and dessert, with prizes for the best and worst golfers. Shasta Valley - Montague Balloon Fair

September 24-26 The Montague Balloon fair is an annual event that attracts pilots and crews, fun-seekers and nature enthusiasts from all over the United States. We're in the beautiful Shasta Valley, which spreads out in front of the north face of majestic Mt. Shasta - the beautiful mountain that appears in the header of this page. Friday Evening, The Rotary Club of Scott Valley will be serving Mesquite BBQ Chicken (1/2 per person),Western Baked Beans, and all the fixins'. Plus an evening of entertainment!

Saturday Evening, The Shasta Valley Rotary Club will have a Barbecued Sirloin Steak Dinner, at the launch site on the west side of town Complete with an Evening Glow of Balloons. Visit the Website for more info.

Second Annual Ashland Rotary Run

October 2, 2010 The 5K and 10K walk/run begins at 8:00 am, winding through the tree lined streets and bike paths of Ashland, beginning and ending at the band shell in beautiful Lithia Park. A pancake breakfast follows the Run. For more information, or to register for the run, visit www.ashlandrotaryrun.com. Our first Ashland Rotary Run event in 2009 was a smashing success with almost 200 runners and $13,000 raised for Polio Plus. Those funds were matched by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. We invite you to join us as we host the second annual Rotary Run to raise money for scholarships for deserving Ashland High School and Southern Oregon University Students. The run committee is working with the Ashland Rotary Foundation who since its inception has raised more than $1 million to help students pursue a college education.

October 9, 2010 The Coquille Rotary Club's annual auction will be Saturday, October 9th at the Coquille community building from 5-9pm. Silent auction tables, basket table and dessert table.
